How to Build a Simple Website in ClickFunnels
You must think about each stage in your funnel as a page to make this work. Essentially, you’re creating a sales funnel website, but instead of a sales funnel, you’re making it a general website. It’s similar to a Click Funnels landing pages, but it’s been tweaked to be a full website.

1. Sign Up for ClickFunnels
We adore ClickFunnels, as many of our readers are aware.
Sign up for ClickFunnels now if you haven’t already. You’ll learn a lot more about ClickFunnels and how to use it in general, which will benefit you.
2. Load the Funnel
Mike Lazarus deserves credit for creating the ClickFunnels templates that make it simple to establish a simple website with ClickFunnels. You can import his funnel into your ClickFunnels account by using the Share Funnel tool. You can then use it as a starting point for your website.
3. Add it to Your Domain
After you’ve loaded the funnel, the following step is to add it to your domain. If you already have a domain name for your website, click to Settings > Domain. After that, add it to your domain and save it by scrolling down and clicking Save.
If you’re brand new to ClickFunnels and don’t have a domain yet, welcome aboard! Simply click on your photo in the upper right corner of the screen, then select Domains from the drop-down menu. It will guide you through the process of obtaining a domain name. It’s free!
4. Name Your Pages
After that, we give each page a name. The gear icon appears when you click a page in the left column. That’s the configuration. Click on it to bring up a window where you can give your page a name. So for the home page, you’d type “home” into the Path field and tap Update.
You’ll see that it’s now yourdomain.com/home when you preview it. You should name all of your pages in this manner.
5. Add New Pages
Instead of being several pages, this website/funnel is one giant Click Funnels landing page. For a lot of folks, this is a great solution. Instead of moving you to a new page, clicking on something in the menu takes you to a different portion of the home page.
If you don’t like it and prefer a more traditional website, you’ll have to construct the new pages yourself. To add a new page, simply click the “Add New Step” button. Because ClickFunnels is a classic funnel builder, not a website builder, the word “step” is used instead of “page,” although the functionality is the same.
6. Create Your Menu
After you’ve generated all of the pages you want on your site, you’ll need to construct a menu (otherwise known as a navigation menu). Because we’re using ClickFunnels to construct a simple website, it will not immediately create the menu for you like it would be with a website builder.
We’re kind of breaking the system here to get ClickFunnels to do what we want, so there are a few extra steps we’ll need to take.
We can see how this funnel/website was developed if we analyse the menu that comes with it…
- Start by adding a paragraph.
- Then add a text line, and the various menu links are simply individual text links separated by a pipe (|) in a single long line of text.
- Then create a row, divide it into two columns, and labeled one as the logo and the other as the menu.
- Now that you know how the menu was made, you can now make one yourself.
- To do so, go to the home page’s top menu bar and click on the pencil symbol next to each menu link. You can update a link and replace it with your new page by clicking on one of the pencil icons.
- The links are set up as section anchors right now, but you can modify the content to match your page name and replace the URL with your new page URL.
- Then, hovering until the small green menu at the top right appears, you may save the header (the third button down is save). Because you’ll need access to it in the next step, give it a name that makes sense.
7. Add the Menu to All the Pages
You’ll want to add the menu to each of your other pages after you’ve built it on your main page.
If you go to your Terms of Service page, for example, you will notice that there is no header set up on that page. So, at the top, hover over “Sections” and then click “Add Section.”
Then, under “My Sections,” find the menu you saved in the drop-down menu that appears. After you’ve done that, the menu will appear at the top of the page.
Then you’ll simply repeat the process on each of your pages.
Once you replicate that and paste it on each page of your ClickFunnels funnel, you’ll have a simple website that functions great.
8. Redirect Your Domain to Your Home Page
The next step is to point your domain to your home page. To do so, go to “Domains” by clicking on your photo in the top right corner of the screen. Then, next to your domain that appears in the list, click “Edit.”
After entering your domain, click “Expand” next to the “Default Page” area that appears.
Then, from the list that appears, select the new funnel you just built and hit save. That means that when someone visits yourdomain.com, they will be directed to the “sales funnel website’s” home page. Then there are connections to all of the other “funnel phases,” which are essentially pages on your website.
9. Personalize Your Pages
After you’ve completed all of the technical requirements, you may personalize each page to make it seem exactly how you want it to. It is possible to:
- Replace the text and images.
- If you like, you can delete or add entire sections.
- Include your products.
- You can add videos from your YouTube.
- Change the colors.
- Lay things out differently.
- Alternatively, you may make any other modifications that you want.
One More Thing to Note About Doing Simple Website Design in ClickFunnels
With this turnkey website solution, you can create a simple website inside of ClickFunnels. As you can see, it’s not difficult at all, and you don’t need to be an expert to execute it. They will also create landing pages inside the funnels and give you a design option to convert visitors. So, even though you didn’t develop it with a standard website builder, it appears to be a valid website.
Keep in mind that the navigation bar will say “home” after the domain, as in https:/yourdomain.com/home. We forwarded it in the preceding “Redirect Your Domain” step so that users can still find your website without putting in the “home” part. When users visit your site, though, it will still display the word “home” in the navigation bar. This isn’t a significant deal, and it shouldn’t stop you from using ClickFunnels to build a simple website.
